Weekend Review, Donnington Park National.
The weekend didnt exactly go as I planned it but it was good. I arrived on friday night knowing I had an issue with the SV after I quickly changed the pistons and cams last week. I tried to aleive the issue but decided after practice on Saturday morning bending valves would be a real pain. I then borrowed a Honda CBR 600 for the weekend. I qualified on one CBR and then swapped it for another one. The second one had a few issues including a bent fork leg. The bike did not want to ride straight but it was managable and I was just grateful of the loan.
I lined up in 8th position for the first race. I completed that race in 9th with a new pb time of 1:21.9. The next race was sunday morning and i lined up in 14th finishing in 12th with another new pb of 1:19.5. The second race on sunday I again lined up in 14th and eventually finished in 10th with another new pb of 1:18.9.
When i arrived at Donington this weekend my fastest time around this track was 1:22, 3 bikes, 3 personal bests and a few championship points later and here we are. Some great battles this weekend.
