Round 2 Brands Hatch Indy 2013

Weekend Review, Brands Hatch Indy.
Brands hatch indy was the scene of round two. Saturday started out overcast but dry. Qualifying came and went quickly and I managed a 32nd on the grid which equated to 10th rookie with a time of 1:09.073. This was only my second visit to the track having done the bemsee test day earlier in march, and I thouroughly enjoyed it.

The race went ok and after some great fun I finished in 34th as 10th rookie. My best time in the race was 1:02.195 plus a top ten finish. Race two was a different afair with a wet track and the threat of more rain. We all ran full wet tyres as the track became slippy. I finished the second race in 27th, 9th rookie with a fastest time of 1:09.293. So far, so good.

Sunday started out with very similar weather to saturday, we lined up on the grid for race three in our race two finishing positions. I started in 27th and finished 31st, 10th rookie with a fastest time of 1:00.241.

Race four was a dry race and the sun was shinning now, the temperatures were high and the conditions were perfect for racing. I started race four in 31st and after some great racing finished in 27th, 7th rookie with a fastest lap time of 57.626.

Race five was a carried over race from the cancelled snetterton round in March. I started race five in 22nd as 9th rookie and after some perfect racing finished in 22nd, 4th rookie with a fastest lap time of 56.352.

By the end of this weekend “Round 2 of the bemsee season” I had completed six races with 6 top ten rookie finishes.
